The Role
 

This role has responsibility for growing the lastminute.com Lifestyle categories with a strong emphasis on Attractions and Experiences through effective inventory management using sales channels across the UK, US and Europe.  The Lifestyle Executive will also ensure effective promotion through all available channels in order to meet and exceed sales targets.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Ticketing and be responsible for inventory management, packaging, relationship management, client support and account management across our Lifestyle categories (focused on Attractions, Restaurants and Experiences).  They will also utilise and work with other internal departments to extend reach of marketing and expand potential sales.

Key Responsibilities will include
  • To manage the allocations on lastminute.com lifestyle platforms ensuring that allocations never run low/out.

  • Manage event set-up and allocations for dated & long running events, attractions and experiences.

  • Check all pricing and product descriptions on the site for accuracy

  • Undertake competitor analysis and negotiate with suppliers to achieve great and competitive rates.

  • Providing sales reports on principle events to senior management and finance personnel when required

  • Liaising with venues on all issues relating to additional allocations, marking back tickets, providing ad hoc reports as necessary and ensuring venues are kept informed of all decisions that may affect operational procedure.

  • Liaising with the lastminute.com Trade Desk to help resolve escalated customer service issues. Also ensuring that the lastminute.com Trade Desk has all relevant information relating to products set up on the site

  • To establish and maintain strong relationships with appropriate attractions, experiences and event suppliers and promoters across the UK.

  • To ensure that all lastminute.com deal sheets and contracts are accurately filed and can be easily referenced as required

  • To ensure that the event set-up team are provided with accurate information about allocations and visual assets when setting up and/or making amendments to event

  • Being the escalated point of contact for suppliers

  • Keep an updated contact sheet for all suppliers

  • Liaising with marketing team to ensure accurate and up to date information is provided for merchandising across multiple channels including CRM, site, affiliates, PPC and brand

  • Maximising opportunities to increase margin where possible

  • Instigate marketing campaigns

  • Attend meetings with suppliers when appropriate

  • Attend events and conferences where appropriate and represent lastminute.com in a positive and professional manner

  • To be aware of seasonal trends, new opportunities, new attractions and experiences and pitch lastminute as a key partner.
 
 
Skills and Experience - specialist technical knowledge
Essential
  • Passion and knowledge of Entertainment and Attractions industries
  • Confident, outgoing and organised person with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Proven experience of working within the area of attractions, tourism, experiences or entertainment industries is essential
  • Sound negotiation skills
  • Sound commercial sense and highly numerate with good analytical skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent relationship building skills within Live Entertainment, Attractions, Experiences and Ticketing industries
